Magnificent, better yet, Maleficent darkness has taken over Sydney’s Grounds of Alexandria.

The Mistress of Evil aka Maleficent cast a spell over the popular space and transformed the beautiful garden into a laneway of wickedness.

In other words, Disney is using the Sydney hot spot to promote its newest movie (similar to how it modified the area to look like Agrabah with the release of Aladdin earlier this year).

From the moment of arrival, visitors will feel as though they’ve stepped onto the set of the popular film with a life-size pair of Maleficent’s wings and horns crowning the entryway.

Thorns and black roses have been laid around the enchanted laneways, along with feather details that bring together the Mistress of Evil vibes.

As an extra touch of darkness, the Grounds have also created a wickedly delicious ‘Dark Fairy’ dessert made up of milk chocolate mousse, passionfruit jelly, vanilla buttercream and edible glitter.

Whether you’re a fan of the Angelina Jolie-starring film or not, it’s worth checking out.

The Maleficent-inspired laneway is open to explore from now until 3 November from 7.00am to 9.00pm.

Photo opportunities by the life-size wings are available from 7.00am to 5.00pm daily.

Meanwhile, the space is also planning to host its first ever adults-only ‘Fright Night Halloween’ on Friday 1 November. The event starts at 7.00pm, so dress up and leave the kids at home.
