Steady your machete! Deadpool will not be censored for the 3rd movie.

To all the fans out there who went into an online panic over how Disney’s takeover of Fox Entertainment will affect the third Deadpool movie, here’s some good news (that you’ve definitely heard before but didn’t fully take in or chose not to believe)… IT WON’T!

Don’t ride off the movie just yet, is what Disney bosses and writers are practically saying because it’ll have the drug-stashing elderly characters, avocado sex jokes, and curiously regenerating body parts that you loved from the first two films.

Writer Paul Wernick recently told Entertainment Weekly, that Marvel (aka Disney) has assured the team that they can “play in the R-rated” universe.

“Marvel has promised to continue to let us play in the R-rated Deadpool universe.”

His comment supports previous statements made by Disney’s Chief Executive Bob Iger, who stressed (on multiple occasions) that the tone of the reluctant hero’s movies would remain untouched.

Meanwhile, Wernick also confirmed that there’s hope of the ‘Merc with the Mouth’ veering into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Although there’s still no information on how and when he’ll be introduced.

Can’t wait to see how Wade plays with the goody two-shoe Avengers.

Deadpool 3 hasn’t started production. It also doesn’t yet have a release date.
