And the best part is, he may be joined by his original Sliders mates.
Hit the remote and jump through the swirling, blue vortex because the cast of the 90s sci-fi classic, Sliders, are in talks with NBC to revive the show.
John Rhys-Davies aka Professor Artur told Flickering Myth that he and the show’s lead actor, Jerry O’Connell aka Quinn Mallory, are in conversations and hope they can follow other shows in returning to the small screen with the original dimension-travelling team.
There’s just one issue – they can’t seem to figure out who owns the rights to the series.
“They’re looking into the basic question of who actually owns it. At the moment we don’t seem to be able to find that out,” Davies admitted.
Should they manage to find and obtain the rights to the show, the actor, who left midway through the third season, believes that if done right, the reboot could be something “quite extraordinary”.
“I would do it again, if just to show how it should be done,” he said. “It could have been the best show on television, it could still be on the air.”
Also planned for a reboot is the movie sensation Hocus Pocus. Click here to read about it.
