It’s not unlike The Walking Dead to kill off characters we love the most, but it was no doubt a jaw-dropping shock to most when __ died in that oh-so-gruesome way during season seven.

But to be fair on the writers, it was all part of major plans to start a new chapter, one where the villain is flat out psychotic, betrayal occurs between allies (still burning over those last episodes), tigers are pets and guns outweigh food when it comes to survival.

It was 16 episodes of nail-biting madness and the good news is you can relive them all, including that one with the traumatic murder of he-who-shall-not-be-named (so as to avoid spoilers for those yet to see it), when The Walking Dead season seven is released on DVD & Blu-ray in Australia.

I mean, technically you could relive them now on iTunes, but there’s something about knowing your favourite show is waiting for you on your DVD stand and not in the cloud.

Anyhoo, the season will be out on 27 September and it comes with a number of bonus features including seven featurettes; eight deleted and extended scenes; a behind the scenes look at the ‘making of The Walking Dead‘; and audio commentaries from a number of the show’s actors such as Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Michael Cudlitz¬† (Abraham Ford),¬†Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), Alanna Masterson (Tara Chambler) and so many more.

In case you’re worried you’ll forget about the 27 September date, you can pre-order the seventh season through JB Hi-Fi by clicking here. Pre-orders will receive exclusive cover artwork featuring Rick, Michone, Daryl and Carol…
