They’re the power couple of superhero television and Netflix and Marvel are showing no signs of easing up on their profitable union.

Just over the last seven days, the entertainment duo released a mini-teaser for their first group of misfit heroes AND wrapped up filming the first season of their show about a vigilante with some tight firing skills.

For those that missed last week’s big reveal, Netflix and Marvel’s The Defenders officially received a release date, with fans only having to wait a little over four months (8 August) until Matt Murdoch (Daredevil), Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Danny Rand (Iron Fist) and Claire Temple (The Night Nurse) come together to face a resurrected Elektra and The Hand.

Viewers were given a sneak peak of what to except from the foursome in a 16-second preview and let’s just say, it’s pretty awkward.

The four step into an elevator inside The Midland Financial building in what appears to be casual outfits. That is, until you notice Matt Murdoch aka Daredevil is wearing his old school do-rag mask.

Is the foursome going into battle or are they seeking out some financial advice? We don’t get to find out because Jessica Jones takes out the camera.

Meanwhile, you may remember Frank Castle aka The Punisher – who practically stole the limelight during Daredevil season two with his heartbreaking story line and unforgiving battle style – well his solo series just finished wrapping up its first season.

Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle) and the rest of the cast and crew took to social media to share pics from the official wrap party, indicating that another Netflix/Marvel show isn’t too far off.

But as you know, there’s no rest for the wicked, Netflix and Marvel have now moved on to the long awaited second season for Jessica Jones.

*Throws f#cking glitter in the air* it’s about time.

Netflix and Marvel united back in 2015 for the release of Daredevil and have continued to amaze fans with two seasons for the crimson vigilante as well as individual shows on Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and more recently Iron Fist.
