One has attitude, one doesn’t accept help, another is still trying to find himself and the fourth is described as “an energy force” – so how exactly will this mishmash of heroes come together to form Marvel’s The Defenders?

Reluctantly, according to Krysten Ritter.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress, who plays the super-strong Jessica Jones, revealed that “no one’s best friends” in the team, which is bound to cause a bit of tension.

She said her character, who has an aversion to social settings, doesn’t want to be part of the group so she “brings her attitude and her biting sense of humour” to the table.

“No one’s best friends in all of The Defenders. This is a reluctant team-up,” she explained.

Charlie Cox, the actor behind the sight-impaired Daredevil, confirmed Ritter’s statement, saying Matt Murdoch and Jessica Jones have strong personalities and will likely have a “fiery relationship” throughout the series.

“I’m not sure how Matt fits into The Defenders just yet, but I can’t wait to see how he deals with those characters,” he said.

“I think that Matt Murdoch and Jessica Jones are quite stubborn and I imagine that will be quite a fiery relationship. In a good way.”

So how will the team get anything done?

Well, Mike Colter aka the practically invincible Luke Cage, says his character is probably the “most centred of the group” and will use his wisdom to ease tension.

And then there’s the final member of the team who’s yet to be formerly introduced to viewers, Iron Fist aka Danny Rand. Finn Jones, who comes on board as the mystical character, believes Rand will be the only one that knows the extent of the danger the team has to face and so is able to drive the group “to get sh#t done”.
