The Flash returned for a third season this evening with Barry seemingly living the dream.

Both his parents are alive, he has a date with Iris and he’s still got his CSI smarts.

But the whole new world aka Flash Point was, as Eobard Thawne pointed out, only temporary and not as pleasant as it appeared.

It was only a matter of time until Barry was forced to leave behind his very own version of pleasantville, but until then it was pretty incredible seeing our favourite characters take on new personalities, much in the same way they did on Earth 2.

Here are eights things that differed in Barry’s Flash Point.

BTW, so many spoilers.

1. Barry is kind of a villain

Umm did anyone else think that cage he was keeping Eobard in was kind of like the one Zoom had?

Barry had a hostage, he took control of time, re-wrote history and he kind of did kidnap Caitlin.

2. While Eobard is the hero…

When he said it I snorted until I realised he really did save the day.

3. Cisco is Mr Ramon, a billionaire & thinks crime fighting sucks

The Flash

But he’s still hilarious.

4. Wally is Kid Flash

Anyone who’d seen The Flash season three trailers or read any episode one spoilers knew this was coming.

5. And Joe is a drunk

The Flash season 3

Kind of preferred him as a jazz singer on Earth 2.

6. Iris is still amazing

Journalist, kick ass, listens and supportive of her brother = amazing

7. While Barry’s parents are very much in love but kind of want him out

Obviously the biggest difference between the two worlds is that Barry’s parents are still very much alive and in love, he got his wish but seems like they’re kind of eager for him to move out.

8. And Caitlin is an eye doctor

The Flash season 3 Caitlin

But still a genius.
