Don’t believe the rumours – is the message Wonder Woman’s director is trying to get out to DC fans after an alleged former Warner Bros. employee described the hero’s first solo movie as a “mess”.
In case you missed it, a person who claims to have worked at the entertainment company recently penned an open letter to CEO, Kevin Tsujahara, sharing his/her disappointment about recent releases, particularly the “train wreck of a movie”, Suicide Squad.
In it, the former employee blames Tsujahara for poor movie selections before targeting Batman v Superman’s Director, Zack Snyder, for “not delivering”.
The “annoyed” and “angry” writer then went on to talk about future releases like Wonder Woman, which was described “as a mess” hiding “behind a great trailer”.
“People inside are already confirming it’s another mess,” the letter read.
However, late last week, the woman behind the Wonder Woman movie, Patty Jenkins, clapped back saying that “someone’s trying to spread some serious misinfo”.
In a series of tweets, she urged the writer to produce a source and stressed that “zero about the movie we are making has been called a mess by anyone in the know”.
Wonder Woman is scheduled to be released next year and stars Gal Gadot as the sophisticated, bad ass Princess.
We can’t wait to see more of her.
