Ben Affleck or Batman is doing his best to be the Nick Fury of DC in first footage of the Justice League movie.
Released at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the special clip shows the Bat vigilante approaching The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg (all of which he found in Lex Luthor’s files during Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) with a pitch of join the DCU’s own band of superheroes.
During the two-and-a-half minute preview, he manages to win over two of the heroes with his “I believe there’s an enemy coming speech”, however, one is a little more reluctant and we’re guessing it’s Jason Momoa’s version of the Sea King, Aquaman, purely based on the way he gives Bruce Wayne that ‘I’ll kill you with my Triton if you ever come back’-look.
Meanwhile, Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen aka The Flash is quick to sign up to the Justice League because he “needs friends” and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg doesn’t say much except to tell Batman that “he didn’t think he was real”. Hopefully we’ll see more of him next time.
Gal Gadot or Wonder Woman is also seen in the clip working closely with Bruce to unite the team, while Henry Cavill or Superman is notably absent even though director Zack Snyder confirmed the Man of Steel will return for the movie.
Hit play to watch the clip and let us know if you think Aquaman is the hero that “more or less” rejects the team.
Warner Bros. also took the opportunity to unveil the first Wonder Woman trailer at this year’s Comic-Con. Click here to check it out.
