The movie’s release date has been pushed back. Grrrr.
We’ve already waited over four-and-a-half years for the fifth Underworld movie, what’s another two months?
It’s too much! Joking, kind of, not really.
According to the movie’s Wikipedia page, the next installment in the vampire/Lycan franchise has been pushed back from 14 October 2016 to 6 January 2017.
Dammit! Guess we can take that movie off our list of films to look watch during the second half of 2016.
Aside from the release date, nothing else in the movie appears to have changed (not that we know much), with Kate Beckinsale still staring as Selene along with Theo James who reprises the role of Selene’s protege David from Underworld: Awakening.
Unfortunately, Scott Speedman, the actor who portrayed Selene’s lover, Michael Corvin, will not return to the role, instead it will be played by Trent Garrett.
The plot to the movie is still a mystery, but in true Underworld-form we probably won’t know what’s happening during the first 20 minutes and we’ll totally love it.
Hopefully there won’t be another unbearable five-year delay between Underworld: Blood Wars and the sixth film, which was confirmed by producer Len Wiseman and will also feature Selene.
