There’s nothing as satisfying (on TV) than seeing characters from your favourite show appear on another one of your beloved series.
But there’s never been a crossover quite like this before.
Now that CW has its hands on Supergirl, the network has announced it is planning a supersized crossover event of its four DC shows.
That’s four episodes with characters from all four shows.
This has to be a new TV record.
The network’s Chief Executive, Mark Pedowitz, said the episode will air later this year and it will be “our biggest one ever”.
“Just imagine what our superhero crossover episode is going to look like come December.”
– Mark Pedowitz, CW Chief Executive
The announcement shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to DC fans who have become accustomed to seeing cast from The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, appearing across all three shows.
CW even loaned Barry Allen aka The Flash to CBS earlier this year for a one-off crossover with Supergirl. The episode attracted 7.17 million viewers in the US, one million more than the previous and following episodes.
Now CW just needs to score the rights for a couple of characters from Gotham to appear in the mega four-way episode to make this a truly epic event.
