Pre-release sales to Captain America: Civil War are strong, so strong in fact that the movie is on track to have the biggest opening (in the US) this year.

The latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is expected to bring in around $175 million during its opening weekend in the United States.

Analysts believe the movie could reach the $200 million mark thanks to its collection of familiar heroes and two newbies, Black Panther and Spider-Man, Variety reported.

If the movie does reach the big milestone, it will topple its DC competition Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which made $166 million during its debut weekend in North America.

Reaching the large target would also put the movie among other record-breaking blockbusters such as The Avengers, Jurassic World and Star Wars.

Meanwhile, in the lead up to the release, Marvel continues to release short snippets from the movie.

Among them is ‘The Team vs Bucky’ clip, during which Black Panther comes face-to-face with the Winter Soldier. Check it out below:

There’s also this ‘new recruit’ clip, which sees an overly excited Ant-Man join Team Captain America.

Captain America: Civil War is scheduled for release in Australia on 28 April. That’s a week ahead of the US *does the happy dance*.
