“Well this is a complication” – sure is Jay or should we say Hunter or should we say… Zoom!

Oh my gosh, what the f#ck – that’s what we imagine a whole lot of fans said simultaneously during that last minute reveal on the latest installment of The Flash.

It took the entire episode (and an actual decent episode for King Shark – I hope A.R.G.U.S finds a cure) for Barry and the team to realise they’re “not done with Earth 2” and it’s time to “stop Zoom”.

We couldn’t be happier because we can’t wait for them to find out what we know and what we know is the identity of one of two masked men.

The Flash

Yep, Zoom is Jay… well it looks like Jay, it almost sounds like Jay (a little deeper), but apparently it’s actually Hunter Solomon.

Remember Hunter Solomon from Earth 1? Jay’s equivalent? We met him when Caitlin was trying to track down cells to repair Jay’s deteriorating health?

Well anyway, Executive Producer, Andrew Kreisberg confirmed to EW that the man under the mask was Hunter Zolomon who was deceiving the group the entire time.

Sound a lot like season the Dr Wells betrayal?

We’re not entirely sure which version of the villain was stabbed in the chest and pulled into Earth 2 during episode 14, but apparently all will be revealed in time.

“How all of that plays out and what’s actually happening, we’ll leave for after the break, but we wanted to go out on this run of episodes with a big reveal, but the same way we did at the end of episode nine in season one,” Kreisberg said.

So if the real Jay Garrick isn’t the one Caitlin fell in love with, then will the real Jay Garrick please stand up?

Perhaps he’s the second masked stranger who freaked out when Barry told him Jay was back on Earth 1?

We’ll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, it looks like Arrow’s Diggle may be getting a costume change.

It was hinted during the latest episode of The Flash when Diggle told Cisco his “helmet could do with some improvements”, to which Cisco said “we’ll work on it”.

Were you surprised by the big reveal?
