Are you ready for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel?
You’ll have to wait a little longer because Marvel Studios has only just commenced principal photography for the movie.
Announced this week, production is being done at Atlanta’s Pinewood Studios and sees Chris Pratt return as the sarcastic and spirited hero, Star-Lord.
Pratt will be joined by Zoe Saldana (Gamora) and Dave Bautista (Drax).
Vin Diesel returns to tell us that he is Groot, while Bradley Cooper slags off little gargoyles as the voice of Rocket.
New to the movie and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Pom Klementieff, who will play Mantis – a psychic and skilled fighter.
Plus there’s Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell – their roles remain tightly sealed.
The plot for the movie is still somewhat of a mystery, except Marvel did say the group’s adventures would “unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s (Star-Lord) true parentage”.
Of course, the sequel will be “set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2”, the last gift from Star-Lord’s mother.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit US cinemas on 5 May 2017.
Who do you think Star-Lord’s father is?
