Everyone was so fixated on the new Captain America: Civil War spot that two Batman v Superman– inspired Turkish Airlines ads almost went completely under the radar.

ALMOST, but not quite.

The two ads aired after the big Super Bowl 50 game, when followers of the winning team were out celebrating and the losers… well, they would have been sulking somewhere in the corner.

But for those that stayed glued to the TV screen (or happened to log into Facebook) would have caught the European carrier’s two new ads featuring The Dark Knight (Ben Affleck) and Superman’s arch enemy, Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).

The ads were part of a new agreement with DC and Warner Bros, to not only be the official airline for the forthcoming comic flick, but to utilise its stars to promote the carrier’s services.

The first ad showcases Gotham City before Ben Affleck boards a Turkish Airline plane and urges viewers that there’s no “better time to visit the great city”. He says his line as a flight attendant gently places a tray holding a cup of water on the table in front of him. #GreatService

Meanwhile, Lex Luthor aka Jesse Eisenberg champions for Metropolis City. While the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) doesn’t make an appearance in the short clip, Eisenberg tells viewers (in his creepy Lex Luxor way) that he and the airline “can’t wait to welcome you” on a flight.

Check it out below.

In addition to the two ads above, the airline also added the Bat symbol and Superman ‘S’ to one of its Boeing 777 aircraft and received an exclusive sneak peek of the movie, which it posted to social media two weeks ago.
