When we say “a little earlier”, we really do mean a little earlier.

The first movie featuring Tom Holland as the webbed hero will be released on 7 July 2017 – 21 days earlier than originally scheduled.

The announcement was made this morning by Sony, when the company revealed the Jumanji reboot would be pushed back to 28 July 2017.

The new Spider-Man movie will be the first solo flick for the swinging saviour since Andrew Garfield’s 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Tom Holland is your next Spider-Man.

Holland will appear in the yet-to-be-officially-named Spider-Man movie after an introduction in the forthcoming MCU’s Captain America: Civil War movie.

Spider-Man also received a bit of a shout out in Ant-Man, when The Falcon asks a ‘crazy fine writer chick’ aka journalist if she has connections to any superheroes, to which she responds: “we got everything nowadays, we got a guy who jumps, we got a guy who swings, we got a guy who crawls up the wall”. #SpiderMan
