It’s been a week of Marvel, Marvel and Marvel.
First the entire first season of Jessica Jones was released on Netflix and it’s amazing (still only halfway though, so disappointed in myself).
And now, Marvel Studios has confirmed it has kick started production on another MCU flick, Doctor Strange.
The movie, which is scheduled to be released after Civil War next year, stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the neurosurgeon who finds himself in a world of magic and alternative dimensions.
Tilda Swinton from The Grand Budapest Hotel joins Cumberbatch in the movie as ‘The Ancient One’ – who in the comics helped mentor superhero.
Chiwetel Ejofor from 12 Years a Slave will appear as Baron Mordo, a supervillain with a range of powers including the ability to hypnotise, teleport and astral project.
Also joining the cast are Rachael McAdams and Michael Stuhlbarg from Steve Jobs. Their roles are yet to be revealed.
Doctor Strange is scheduled for release on 4 November 2016 and is being filmed in several locations including London, New York, Hong Kong and Nepal.
Are you excited to see Cumberbatch step into the role of Doctor Louis George aka Doctor Strange?
