Chris Pratt may have just scored himself not one, but two more major gigs.

It was only a matter of time until Universal announced a sequel to Jurassic World, especially after its roaring success (seriously, it surpassed The Avengers’ record).

However, the studio went one further this week, revealing plans to release a third Jurassic World follow up.

According to Universal Pictures chairman, Donna Langley, director Colin Trevorrow will return for the two new movies and has been working with Steven Spielberg on an outline.

Jurassic World

“It was designed as a trilogy, unbeknownst to us. It’s a happy surprise.”

The first of the two sequels is scheduled for release in June 2018 and will see Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas reprise their roles.

There’s still no confirmation that the two will be back for the third movie, but we imagine the studio will be keen for Pratt to return considering the warm reception he received following the release of Jurassic World earlier this year.
