Chris Hemsworth is coming home…
… and he could be bringing Mark Ruffalo with him.
Thor: Ragnarok – the third solo movie for the Norse God in the MCU – will be filmed Down Under next year.
The announcement was made by Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop overnight and will see the government chip in around $47 million to bring the Marvel movie and an untitled alien flick to Australia.
Work on the Thor project is expected to start early to mid 2016 on the Gold Coast.
Thor: Ragnarok will pick up where Thor: The Dark World left off, with Loki secretly taking the throne disguised as Thor’s father Odin.
Did he kill Odin? Or is there a little heart left in the cheeky villain?
We’ll find out in 2017 when the movie is released. We want to know if this also means Australia will get the movie premiere? Hmmm hope so!
The third Thor flick will also feature Mark Ruffalo aka Bruce Banner/Hulk who was last seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron taking off in the Stark stealth jet.
This isn’t the first superhero flick to be filmed around our shores, we were also lucky enough to be the backdrop for a few scenes from Wolverine II.
Now all that’s left is someone arranging for me to ‘accidentally’ bump into Chris and Mark on set. Thank you in advance 🙂
Are you happy to see one of the MCU movies filmed in Australia?
