But didn’t he die?
Just when you thought Barry had defeated the baddie, an Executive Producer on The Flash has confirmed Dr Harris Wells aka Dr Zoom will definitely be back in the second season.
Speaking to TV Line, Gabrielle Stanton said the character, who was killed off in a pretty dramatic way during the season one finale, will return ‘in some way or another’.
How is this possible?
Well firstly it’s complete fiction so anything can happen.
Secondly, while in season one Barry experimented with travelling back and forth in time, season two will see him exploring other timelines.
That’s when he’ll come into contact with ‘a very different Wells’.
“Harrison Wells will be back, but he’s going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we’ve seen before,” she said.
“We’ve got other worlds and other timelines.”
Meanwhile, last month Stanton touched on Barry’s struggles this coming season and apparently he’ll spend a considerable amount of time trying to figure out what it means to be a superhero.
“If last season was the journey of Barry discovering he’s a hero, this season is definitely him trying to figure out what that means,” she added.
“You’re going to see, early on, Barry coming into his own as The Flash, a little bit more.
“He has to make some terrible decisions, and he’s going to struggle with those.
“He’s going to think about, can I live with myself, having to make those decisions, and still do what I do?”
Barry Allen aka The Flash returns with an all new outfit (I’m guessing thanks to Cisco) on 6 October.
