Everyone wants to know when the superhuman scientist will make another cinematic appearance, especially after actor Mark Ruffalo confirmed his character won’t be joining the rest of the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War.
Fans have speculated that he might make his Marvel comeback in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where he’ll act as the link between Star Lord’s team and the superheroes on earth.
However, Guardians director and screenwriter, James Gunn, shut down the theory overnight, saying there is ‘zero chance’ of seeing the green monster in the sequel.
So now that we have very clear confirmation he won’t be in the movie, the big question is: when will Hulk return to the big screen?
Earlier this month Ruffalo addressed his absence from the upcoming Captain America movie, saying his character was removed from the script last minute.
He went on to explain that people behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe are keeping tight lipped about his whereabouts for the time being.
“I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon,” he said.
What we do know is that towards the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Black Widow was told her romantic partner had skipped town to isolate himself. He believed himself to be a threat to the world after Scarlette Witch invaded his mind and convinced him to destroy an entire city.
So perhaps his next appearance will be in 2018 when Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 hits the cinemas.
Or maybe we’ll just have to wait and see.
When do you think Hulk will make his next cinematic appearance?
