Matt Murdock will have an extra pair of hands to assist in the fight to protect Hell’s Kitchen.
According to Deadline, the straight-to-Netflix series has cast Stephen Rider from The Butler to play District Attorney Blake Tower in Season 2.
No further information has been revealed about the casting, except that Rider’s character comes straight from Marvel’s comics. He uses his police connections to source background information on criminals and help Murdock track down the baddies.
Also joining the sight-impaired vigilante in the forthcoming season is The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal from The Walking Dead.
The nature of The Punisher’s role in the series is also yet to be revealed but we suspect Bernthal will bring along those little psychotic and murderous qualities we loved to hate in Joe Teague from TWD.
Fans predict his character is likely to clash with Murdock, mostly because The Punisher is has a ‘kill all opponents’ attitude, while Murdock has a strict ‘no killing’ policy.
Can’t wait to see how the two interact.
Bernthal has been spotted on the set of Daredevil several times sporting blood and scratches to the face. More recently he gave fans a first look at The Punisher’s collection of weapons. Literally a wall of guns.
Do you think Rider will make a great addition to the series?
