Disney Star Wars theme park

Disney confirmed today that it had inked a deal with Lucasfilm back in October 2012 for a Star Wars theme park inside Disney World.

Disney Chairman, Bob Iger, revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that the two Star Wars lands will be built in Orlando and Anaheim in the US.

Ensuring fans will get the ultimate Star Wars experience, Iger said ‘nothing in the land will be out of character or stray from mythology’.

“Everything we create will be part of our storytelling,” he said.

“These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.”

Iger didn’t reveal when the two lands will be ready to explore, however, he did release concept sketches and they look f#cken SICK.
