Ladies get your braids ‘did’ and join the men with your swords and shields because it’s time to get a glimpse of where ‘Vikings’ is heading in the future.

Travis Fimmel (Ragnar) along with costars Clive Standen (Rollo), Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha) and Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn) released the trailer for the fourth season at the annual Comic-Con expo.

After viewing the one minute and 36 seconds video we were left with six questions…

1. Is that Athelstan’s voice?

It seems to be. The deceased monk turned Viking turned born again Christian narrates the trailer with a reading of The Preacher’s ‘All is Vanity’.

The Biblical verse teaches that everything in this world is temporary and no matter what we pursue in life, our time on earth is temporary and all we work towards is for vanity.

Interesting verse considering Ragnar’s thirst for travelling to foreign lands and the lengths he went to (even faking his own death) trying to invade Paris.

2. Uhhh are they killing off Lagertha?

I hope not!

Just as Athelstan says ‘one generation passes’, Lagertha appears on-screen with a glow behind her and a proud look on her face. She looks very angelic – too angelic for my liking.

And then there’s the pink lipstick – I’ve never seen Lagertha wear makeup, let alone pink. Are they actually going to kill her off?

3. Loki too?

He totally has it coming.

First he killed Athelstan (I’m still devastated) and then he acted like a complete coward during the first raid against Paris. I bid you farewell buddy.

4. Hmmm, will a woman rule Kattegat?

If so, can it please not be Aslaug?

The second wife (and clearly the one we’re not that into) asks the seer whether a woman will ever rule over Ragnar’s land.

We say, step back b#$ch Bjorn is next in line.

5. Okay sooooo Rollo wasn’t faking a betrayal?

Honestly, if it weren’t for his handsome face I’d totally have turned my back on Rollo by now.

It looks like his offer to help the leaders of Paris defeat his brother in exchange for the Princess’ hand in marriage may have been genuine.

6. Coming in 2016 – when in 2016?

I’m going to need a real date please.

Did the trailer leave you with any burning questions?
