Did somebody call a Doctor?
The ‘Twelfth Doctor’ aka Peter Capaldi, will step into his Tardis and head to Sydney for the first official Doctor Who Festival in Australia.
Running over two days in November, it’s essentially a ‘Doctor Who’ decked out version of Supanova, giving fans of the hit BBC series the chance to not only meet one of the ‘Doctors’ but also snap a pic with him.
More celebrity guests will be announced closer to November, however, Whovians will definitely have the opportunity to meet the writers of the show and find out exactly how the Doctor’s adventures are developed.
There’s also the chance to go behind the scenes and see exactly how much makeup and time goes into creating the traveller’s monsters.
Entry into the festival won’t be cheap, but we imagine it will be totally worth it.
Tickets are on sale now with general admission, which includes a seat in the theatre for all three sessions; access to Doctor Who Festival halls; and an official festival laminate, selling for $195.
Or there’s the ‘TARDIS’ package priced at $365, but includes everything from a seat within the front block in the theatre for all three theatre sessions; access to the Doctor Who Festival halls; access to the TARDIS Ticket Holder’s Lounge including two drinks; priority access to theatre shows; merchandise of up to $110; and more.
The event will be at the Royal Hall of Industries and Hordern Pavilion from 21 to 22 November.
