Pop culture continues to takeover the skies, as a Turkish airline recruits Marvel’s Avengers for its newest inflight safety video.

Over the last few years, airlines have change the way they present onboard emergency demonstrations to be more entertaining and passenger friendly.

Air New Zealand kicked it off back in 2012 with its ‘Lord of the Rings’ inspired video.

This was backed up last year with the release of ‘An Unexpected Briefing’, featuring characters and actors from ‘The Hobbit’.

Now Turkish carrier, Pegasus Airlines, has teamed up with Disney Turkey to take Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Loki and Odin 32,000 feet in the air.

During the four minutes and 55 seconds video, the team of superheroes and one adorable villain (awe Loki) demonstrate onboard regulations and emergency procedures.

Of course, the actors that star in Marvel’s ‘Avengers’ haven’t been recruited for the inflight briefing (Chris Evans would definitely have my attention).

Coming to life through the imagination of a young comic enthusiast, Black Widow demonstrates the right way to put a seat belt on and how to wear the inflatable life vest.

Captain America encourages travellers to stow their luggage away the right way.

Iron Man switches off his suit’s power during takeoff and landing, while Thor and a mischievous Loki agree to assist cabin with passenger evacuation.

The overriding message of the safety demo video is: ‘Even if you’re a superhero, flight safety rules are important for you’.

The airline’s CEO added that the video aims to put safety rules to guests ‘in a striking way’.

“We are working on encouraging our guests to listen with interest to flight safety rules via our videos that have been made using different concepts,” Guliz Ozturk said.

“Thus we decided to use the Marvel characters that are known and loved around the world as superheroes that appeal to guests of all ages and from all parts of the globe.”
